Fluid is looking for passionate and highly collaborative Lead UX Designer to join our growing team in New York. We are a consumer experience design agency. We are looking for leaders that are entrepreneurial, critical thinkers and innovators who are energized to take a broader look at design.

Together we transform digital shopping experiences across all channels - web, mobile, in-store & tablet - for world-class global consumer brands in a highly collaborative, fast moving and innovative environment. Our Experience Directors sit at the head of our largest, most challenging, complex and innovative project for some of the best brands in the world. They often run multiple projects at the same time or oversee and drive a multi-track account with a UX team supporting.
As a Lead UX Designer on the creative team, you’ll be in the unique position to shape your projects from both a macro and micro level and our relationships with our clients. You will be able to mentor junior members of the team, play a strong role in selecting additional members of the department and shaping the future of shopping. We’re not interested in best practices – we want a visionary who will push the boundaries. You will be responsible for driving innovation on all your projects and crafting the compelling story to our clients that will sell in the team’s best ideas.

Strong attention to detail, as well as a firm, holistic understanding of the entire project is required. In addition, you will have a direct impact with our clients and defining the next generation of UX within Fluid.

You understand the established design patterns and best practices, yet you have the vision and capability to adapt and create design solutions for a client’s unique brand and business needs.
You obsess until you’ve created intuitive navigation, site maps and user flows. You might even love defining taxonomies and metadata models.
Best practices and design principles are core to your process for both highly engaging interactive sites as well as traditional content sites, but you know when to ignore them and move into the next design frontier.
You can design for different technologies. You love a challenge from your team and your clients.
